  1. READ ALL Information under your Residency focus of choice (Wild Clay, or Independent), and ALL info under Special Programming, Accommodations, and Travel Info

  2. SUBMIT an Application Below, which includes your Statement of Interest, Experience with the medium, and proposals for Independent Projects. You must be at least 21 years of age to apply.

    • We will Review Applications on a Rolling Basis, beginning in January 2025 until all spaces are filled. We have space for 12 residents in 2025.

    • We accept residents based on appropriate fit of values, skills, interests, proposed projects, and space availability.

    • DEADLINE TO APPLY : MARCH 1ST, 2025

  3. Perform a Brief INTERVIEW with members of our team. We will contact you within 2 weeks of your application submittal to schedule an interview.

  4. REGISTER by paying a $300 Deposit to reserve your spot. Invoiced through Square.

  5. Pay in full by May 1st, 2025. Fees Listed Below. Invoiced through SquareUp

COVID-19 Safety Considerations

* COVID-19 Vaccinations and current Boosters are required for all Residents and Staff

* This small-group artist residency allows for social distancing without social isolation. Bring your own tent for camping, eat your carefully-prepared meals in our fresh-air outdoor pavilion, work outside in the wilderness, and kick the studio barn doors open!

* We will ask that anyone testing positive for or feeling symptoms of COVID-19 within one week prior to the start of the residency, to please stay home. If this happens: Your deposit is non-refundable, but we will refund the remainder of your fee.

* In the event that we need to cancel the entire Residency due to legal restrictions or COVID-19 precautions, we will refund your entire residency fee, including the deposit.


CAMP & WORKSHOP Fees

Your Residency Fees Cover: For the duration of the 2-week Residency: Three amazing meals served each day, access to maintained camping grounds, well-water, solar-shower, composting outhouses, various indoor and outdoor work spaces, miles of maintained hiking trails, special presentations and guided discussions, field trips to the beach, waterfalls, and areas of cultural interest, in addition to all provided project assistance listed under your Residency Workshop below. Wild Clay Workshop Residency Fee: $1200 Includes instruction, demos, and 1-on-1 project guidance for harvesting and creating with the local clay, includes a variety of glazes, clay body additives, firings in electric, gas, and wood pit/barrel kilns. Includes local transportation, workspace in the Studio Barn, electricity, and use of shop tools and basic supplies. See Wild Clay Workshop Details Here

Independent Project Residency Fee: $1000 Includes project support by Staff Artists, shared work space and use of electricity in the Studio Barn and in the A-frame, shop tools and some basic supplies, local transportation, miles of hiking trails through the forest, access to a variety of spaces for installation art and land art, and various quiet writing, reading, drawing, and meditation spaces including in the Porcupine Palace (a comfortably refurbished hunting blind), the Oak Tree Theater (a stage in the woods), and the Aspen Chapel (a gorgeous grove of Aspens with benches to sit on).
