TRANSPORTATION 

The Visitor Center is located near the town of Ewen, Michigan. The nearest airports are The Gogebic - Iron County Airport (IWD) in Ironwood, Michigan, and the Houghton County Memorial Airport (CMX) in Houghton, Michigan.

Indian Trails Bus connects to Greyhound Bus lines and offers affordable bus service to the Upper Peninsula from many points in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan. Watersmeet, Michigan is the bus stop you will arrive at for VCAC.

Upon acceptance, Visitor Center staff can give advice on travel arrangements and will help to facilitate picking you up at the bus stop or airport, and coordinate any possible car-pooling amongst residents who are driving their own vehicles.

The VCAC is in Ewen, MI, in the EASTERN TIME ZONE. So is the airport in Houghton.

The bus station in Watersmeet, and the airport in Ironwood, are in the CENTRAL TIME ZONE.

Please take this into account when planning your trip, and/or arranging for a pick-up in Watersmeet, Houghton, or Ironwood, MI.

ARRIVALS / DEPARTURES

Plan to Arrive by 4pm on Saturday, July 20th (EASTERN TIME), and depart by 2pm on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, for the Visitor Center Team to provide ride assistance.

Arrangements for pick-up from Watersmeet, Houghton, or Ironwood must be made in advance. Any pick-ups on other dates are subject to a transportation fee.
